Privacy statement

This statement sets out which personal data Search Clicks B.V. processes when you visit our website or contact us, on what legal basis, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It follows Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

1. Controller

Search Clicks B.V., Edelgasstraat 101, 2718 TE Zoetermeer, Nederland, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 94825726, is the controller for the processing described in this statement.

Privacy questions can be sent to hello@searchclicks.com or +31 85 060 9801.

2. Data protection officer

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and have not done so: we process no special categories of personal data and do not monitor individuals systematically or on a large scale. hello@searchclicks.com is the fixed point of contact for every privacy question.

3. What we process, for which purpose and on what basis

Processing Data Purpose Legal basis (GDPR)
Contact form and enquiries Name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your message Answering your question and preparing a possible collaboration Article 6(1)(b): steps prior to entering into a contract. If your message is not about an assignment, Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in being able to answer business enquiries
Booking a call Name, email address, chosen time Scheduling an introductory call Article 6(1)(b)
Client administration Contact and invoicing details, correspondence Carrying out the assignment and meeting our statutory retention duty Article 6(1)(b) and (c): legal obligation
Statistics (Google Analytics) IP address (truncated), device and browser data, pages viewed, referral source Understanding how the site is used and where it falls short Article 6(1)(a): your consent
Advertising measurement and remarketing Cookie identifiers, click and visit behaviour Measuring whether an advertisement leads to an enquiry, and showing relevant advertisements later Article 6(1)(a): your consent
Server logs IP address, timestamp, page requested, error messages Keeping the site running and protecting it against abuse and attacks Article 6(1)(f): legitimate interest in a working, secure website

Where we rely on a legitimate interest, we have weighed that interest against your privacy. The data is limited, the context is professional, and you can object to the processing.

4. Are you obliged to provide data?

No. Filling in the form is voluntary. We do need at least a name and an email address in order to reply; without those we cannot handle your question. If you become a client, the details that belong on an invoice are required by law. Consent for statistics and advertising is entirely free: if you refuse, the site works exactly the same.

5. Cookies

On your first visit we ask whether we may place cookies that are not strictly necessary. Until you click Accept, statistics and advertising measurement stay off — nothing is measured and no identifiers are stored. Refusing takes one click and is given the same prominence as accepting. Your choice lasts six months and can be changed at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Cookie Set by Purpose Retention Consent
pll_language This website Remembers which language you read the site in 1 year Not required (necessary)
sc_consent This website Remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking 6 months Not required (necessary)
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors so visit figures can be compiled 2 years Only after consent
Advertising cookies from Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn Google, Meta, LinkedIn Measuring whether an advertisement leads to an enquiry, and showing relevant advertisements later Up to 2 years Only after consent

The scheduling widget (Calendly) is loaded only at the moment you click the button to book a call yourself. If you do not, no connection to Calendly is made.

6. Who else processes your data

We do not sell your data and do not make it available to third parties for their own purposes. We do engage suppliers who process data on our instructions and with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement: our hosting provider (website, email and backups), Google (statistics and advertising), Calendly (scheduling) and Meta and LinkedIn (advertising). Beyond that we disclose data only where a legal provision obliges us to.

Enquiries arrive in our own lead administration, which we manage ourselves. There is no external CRM that your data ends up in.

7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google, Calendly, Meta and LinkedIn are established in the United States. Where they process data outside the EEA, this takes place under the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses supplemented with additional measures. If you would like a copy of the safeguards that apply to a transfer, request it at hello@searchclicks.com.

8. How long we keep data

Data Period Why
Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment 2 years after the last contact So an ongoing conversation can be resumed; after that the interest lapses
Client and invoicing data 7 years after the end of the financial year Statutory retention duty, Article 52 of the Dutch State Taxes Act
Server logs Up to 12 months Investigating faults and abuse
Statistics 14 months The standard period we have set in Google Analytics
Your cookie choice 6 months After that we ask again

9. Automated decision-making and profiling

We take no decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based on automated processing. No profiling takes place in which a judgement is formed about you as a person. Advertising cookies group visitors into broad audiences; no individual decision is based on them.

10. Your rights

You have the right of access to the data we process about you, and the right to have it rectified or erased. You may also ask for the processing to be restricted, object to processing based on a legitimate interest, and receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or have it transferred to another party.

Consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it: click Cookie settings at the bottom of the page and choose Refuse. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

Send a request to hello@searchclicks.com. We respond within one month. To avoid disclosing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to send your request from the email address known to us.

11. Lodging a complaint

If you disagree with how we handle your data, we would rather hear it from you first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), Postbus 93374, 2509 AJ The Hague, via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. If you live in another EU member state, you may approach the supervisory authority of that country.

12. Security

The website is reachable only over an encrypted connection, receives security updates automatically and is backed up daily. Access to the data is limited to the people who need it for their work and is protected with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication. If you suspect a data breach or a weak spot, report it to the address above; we treat such reports as a priority.

13. Changes

If the way we process data changes, we update this statement accordingly. Significant changes are announced on the website. The date of the last revision is shown below.
